Hi,
I have bought Spectre 360. I have touchpad issue (not working) frequently. Sometimes, it is working but the reason is unknown to me. I have noticed that I2C HID Device is showing "This device cannot start. (Code 10)" in the device manager. Whenever, the laptop touchpad is working then this driver is also not showing any error/warning.
Product Serial Number: [edited]
This issue is annoying me a lot as sometime I cannot use external mouse. Appreciate the kind support to resolve this issue.
Best Regards,
Haseeb Ahmad

Thank you for posting on the HP Support Community.
- Did this happen after a recent window or software update?
- Have you made any hardware/software changes?
While you respond to that, let's try these steps:

Next step BIOS default:
- Turn off the computer and wait five seconds.

- On the BIOS Setup screen, press F9 to select and load the BIOS Setup Default settings.
- Press F10 to Save and Exit.
- Use the arrow keys to select Yes, then press Enter when asked Exit Saving Changes?
- Follow the prompts to restart your computer.
Once its done next step, uninstall HID device from device manager.
- Use shortcut keys Win + X on Windows 10.

Hi,
I have managed to resolved the issue through HP Support Assistance" tool. I believe the tool install the correct driver before "I2C HID Device" is showing error. Now, I can see "Synaptics HID Device" in the device driver which seems to be a correct driver. Currently, the touchpad is working fine after restarting the laptop 5-6 times.
Let's hope the issue will not appear again.
Best Regards,
Haseeb Ahmad
