Hp Pavilion 15 - cc102tx
Unknown

Product name- Hp Pavilion 15-cc102tx

Recently i was facing too many fps drops in games which meets all requirements.

I thought it was a problem of my gpu so i installed msi afterburner and found out that it was my cpu problem whenever

fps drops down my cpu power from 15 watt drops down to 4.6 watt, which cause a huge fps drop.

After searching a lot i installed intel XTU to check the problem and found that whenever i do stress test after 10 seconds

it shows power limit throttling and tdp drops down from 26 watt to 13 watt.

Please help me it is really frustrated i am not able to play with full performance.

@Harsh31,

Thank you for posting your query on HP Community,

The feature is designed such a way that if it reaches a certain optimum temperature limit the CPU cools down to prevent overheating.

In this scenario, I would suggest you try these steps here:

I would suggest here is to update the Bios, Chipset and graphics card drivers on your PC either from our HP support website using this link or download it using HP Support Assistant.

To download and install HP support assistant on your PC. It should automatically download and install the latest updates and drivers for your PC.

Refer this link to know how to use HP support assistant.

If the issue still persists, please try these steps here:

Right-click your desktop background and select NVIDIA Control Panel. You can also find this tool by performing a Start menu (or Start screen) search for NVIDIA Control Panel or by right-clicking the NVIDIA icon in your system tray and selecting Open NVIDIA Control Panel.

To quickly set a system-wide preference, you could use the Adjust image settings with the preview option. For example, if you have old hardware that struggles to play the games you want to play, you may want to select “Use my preference emphasizing” and move the slider all the way to “Performance.” This trades graphics quality for an increased frame rate.

By default, the “Use the advanced 3D image settings” option is selected. You can select Manage 3D settings and change advanced settings for all programs on your computer or just for specific games. NVIDIA keeps a database of the optimal settings for various games, but you’re free to tweak individual settings here. Just mouse-over an option for an explanation of what it does.

I hope this helps. Let me know how it goes for further assistance.

@Harsh31,

I would suggest here is to run an extensive system test from F2(Please capture the failure ID for further assistance).

1. Hold the power button for at least five seconds to turn off the computer.

2. Turn on the computer and immediately press Esc repeatedly, about once every second.

When the menu appears, press the F2 key.

3. On the HP PC Hardware Diagnostics (UEFI) main menu, click System Tests.

4. Click Extensive Test.

5. Click Run once, or Loop until error.

While the test is running, the time remaining and test result for each component are

shown on the screen.

6. If a component fails a test, write down the failure ID (24-digit code) so you have it

available when you contact HP Customer Support. The information is also available in

Test Logs on the main menu.

Depending on the test results, if the test fails which would clearly indicate a possible hardware failure. I would recommend you contact our HP support team for further assistance.

If the test results pass then I would suggest the next step would be to perform a system reset on the PC.

You may follow the steps suggested in this support document for  - HP PCs - Resetting Your Computer (Windows 10)

For some reason, if this does not help then I would suggest you could try to use HP Cloud Recovery Tool which allows you to download recovery software to a USB drive.

If this option does not work then you can follow this link: HP PCs - Obtaining PC Recovery USB Drives or Discs Or else you may contact our HP support team to help you order a set of recovery media for your PC.

HP support team can be reached on this link

Let me know if you need any further assistance. I'll be more than happy to help you.
