I tried  upgrading my HP Pavilion TS 11 Notebook PC from windows 8 to windows 10, but it doesn't work. Please, is there any suggestions as I want to use Windows 10 on it.

Will appreciate any help

You're very welcome.

You would have to buy a product key either way.

I suggest you keep using your PC as is or buy one that comes with Windows 11 because W10 is going out of support in about 18 months from now.

Your PC does not meet the hardware requirements to get the free upgrade from W10>W11 so IMHO, it probably wouldn't be worth the money to pay for a W10 product key this late in the game.

If you had never previously upgraded your PC to W10, you will have to buy a license for it because Microsoft closed the loophole in October of 2023 that allowed users to continue to get the free upgrade to W10 after the free upgrade period ended in July of 2016.

If you paid for a W10 product key and you can't do an in-place upgrade to W10, you can clean install W10 by making a bootable W10 installation flash drive with the media creation tool from the link below.

Download Windows 10 (microsoft.com)

Thanks so much, Paul.

Sadly, I never paid for a w10 product key and can't an in-place upgrade, can I still go ahead with the clean install via bootable installation?
