So my kids laptop died and i stole the HDD from an old netbook and installed it on this newer laptop that was on win10. The HDD i installed is win7 32 bit. I've been able to install most drivers but still having issues with 2 0f the 3 USBs not working. All i have left is the PCI encryption/decryption controller,SMBus controller and 3 unkown devices. The third device shows the USB hub but in device manager it shows that the USB controller is at AMD USB 3.0 host controller. ive tried to update and install to no avail.
PCI encryption PCI\VEN_1022&DEV_1578&SUBSYS_8332103C&REV_00
SMBus PCI\VEN_1022&DEV_790B&SUBSYS_8332103C&REV_4A
Uknown ACPI\SMB0001*SMB0001
unkown ACPI\MSFT0101 *MSFT0101
unkown AMDUSB30\ROOT_HUB30&VID_1022&PID_7914&REV_0020&SID_8332103C

Hi, @Phrnee
For the USB 3 ports, and smbus controller, download and install the W7 32 bit AMD chipset driver from the link below and restart the PC.
https://www.amd.com/en/support/chipsets/amd-9-series-chipsets/990fx
Unknown ACPI\SMB0001*SMB0001, You need this driver...
https://ftp.hp.com/pub/softpaq/sp81501-82000/sp81891.exe
unknown ACPI\MSFT0101 *MSFT0101...No 32 bit driver exists for this device. It is the TPM 2.0 device.
I have zipped up and attached the driver you need for the PCI encryption controller, below.
You will need to manually install the driver as follows...
Download and unzip the file I attached to its folder. Do not do anything with the files in the folder.
Go to the device manager, click on the unknown PCI E/D controller needing the driver.
Click on the driver tab. Click on Update Driver.
Select the Browse my computer for driver software option, and browse to the driver folder you unzipped.
Make sure the Include subfolders box is checked and the driver should install.
Then restart the PC.
You can also clean install W10 on that hard drive if you want.
You can reinstall W10 for free by making a bootable USB W10 installation flash drive using the media creation tool at the link below. Select the W10 64 bit USB creation option. You may have to do this from a 64 bit PC. I'm not sure.

After W10 has completed installing, you can install the drivers and available software from your notebook's support page.

What is your 15-bw0xx ? Most likely it has Intel 8th generation CPU and you can't proper run Windows 7 simply no available driver for USB ports and few other things. Vendors simple do not write Windows 7 drivers for Gen 8 processors.
Regards.

Yes.. I figured that out. I went from an SSD with win 10 and inserted a hdd from an old laptop with win 7. Fortunately with help I was able to scrape together drivers that worked. Lol, from all over the net. Was fun project this weekend. Stay healthy all!
