Hello

I am going to upgrade from ubuntu to kali linux. In this, I have 4 GB of RAM and 500GB of Hard drive. What hardware upgradations I have to make and to what extent the hardware in this notebook can be upgraded?

Where can I start? Here is the Service manual:

Manual

You can have 16 gigs of RAM and a solid state drive, either 2.5 inch SATA or M.2 SATA or both. Depending on the processor you have, the processor can likely be upgraded, too.

Not sure what you mean by upgrading from Ubuntu to Kali Linux. Linux is Linux and the kernels at the heart of the operating system are essentially the same. Different distros have different window dressing and there are different types of upgrade packing (I think Ubuntu and Kali are both debian based) but they are all Linux.
