My HP Notebook 14-cm0981na is too slow with 4GB RAM
1. How can i improve its performance??
2.Is ssd the best option??
3.What type of ssd??

Hi,
The machine is never going to be real fast because the CPU is not real good.
You could install a 2.5" SATA3 SSD and remove the 32GB eMMC board
You will need hard drive cable part number L23187-001
ex

page 37 of service manual to install HDD

you can create a USB drive with OS and use to reinstall Windows
https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/software-download/windows10
You could also upgrade the RAM to 8GB by replacing the 4 GB module. I would say it would give a boost in the everday usage of the machine. Especially having more space and the SSD.
