I would like to buy a HP 250 G6 Notebook PC(2LB54EA), but I'm afraid 8 gb would not be enough for multitasking use.
Here https://support.hp.com/it-it/product/hp-250-g6-notebook-pc/15747807/document/c05507358#AbT11 I read that for this model there is no possibility to upgrade the machine with more RAM memory, after buying it,
but here https://h30434.www3.hp.com/t5/Notebook-Hardware-and-Upgrade-Questions/HP-250-G6-1WY58EA-16GB-RAM-UPG... they don't seem to agree with this (they are talking about a twin version of the one I would like to buy - their one is even 9 € less expensive).
What is the truth about this?

Hi:
You can install 2 x 8 GB in that specific product number, because it has an 7th gen core processor.
Only the models with the Pentium or Celeron processors have one memory slot and the memory can only go up to 8 GB.
What they are saying is that only an authorized service center is supposed to install the memory, not the customer.
If you think you can do the job yourself without breaking anything in the process (which of course would void the warranty), then feel free to do so.
Here is the link to the service manual.

The memory upgrade info can be found in chapter 1 on pages 1 and 2.
The memory removal and replacement procedures can be found in chapter 6, starting on page 45.
