Hello HP Community

I want to upgrade My laptop with a M.2 NVME PCIE SSD as my laptop have a M.2 Slot.

I am reading several answers from  questions about my laptop SSD upgrade on HP Community and I got confused.

In many answers it says it supports M.2 NVME Pcie SSD on my port.

some say that you will need some extra parts for installing SSD on my motherboard.

So I thought i should ask the community before buying one...

The M.2 PCie SSD which I am buying is Kingston A2000

do this drive support my motherboard HP Notebook 15-da1041tu.

One more Question do my laptop supports 2280 form factor?

Can I use my M.2 Drive as boot drive and HDD as storage?

Thanks for reading

Its specs

          https://support.hp.com/au-en/document/c06244806

It has Intel® Core™ i5-8265U (1.6 GHz base frequency, up to 3.9 GHz with Intel® Turbo Boost Technology, 6 MB cache, 4 cores) CPU/Processor therefore it supports dual storage options with M.2 NVMe SSD drive + normal 2.5" HDD/SSD drive.

It has 1 TB 5400 rpm SATA now. You can add M.2 NVMe SSD drive to your machine using

         Or similar from reputable vendors.

One example (compatible drive, can use smaller/larger capacity)

@Banhien

Then why did you tell it didn't support nvme ssd in this question.

https://h30434.www3.hp.com/t5/Notebook-Hardware-and-Upgrade-Questions/I-Want-To-Know-If-My-Laptop-Su...

Most of the answer says it supports nvme but your answer got me confused.

But now as you have answered it supports PCIe, now i am sure that it supports NvMe.

I also checked on another sites like crucial and memoryking.co.uk to check the compatibility

Please change your answer in the above link so that it cannot confuse others

Thanks for answering.
