Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Hello, my Laptop model no. is 15-BG002AU, it has AMD A8 7410 CPU and 4 GB Samsung PC3L, 12800, 1600mhz RAM. I want to upgrade the RAM to 8 GB. I want to know which RAM should I buy for my laptop. HP service center guy asking 4K for 4 GB RAM. That is insane. Bcoz online RAM price is 2K. So please help me out.

This is what you have:

https://www.amazon.com/Samsung-PC3-12800-DDR3-1600MHz-Unbuffered-M471B5173DB0-YK0/dp/B00CV5GWHC

The picture you posted seems to be exactly the same memory so I would buy that. Then you can take it to a technican for installation or we can get you manual and video instructions.

From the Manual:

Memory module (PC3L, 12800, 1600-MHz) For use in models with AMD A8, A6, E2 processors:

8-GB 693374-005

4-GB 691740-005

Memory would be even less than equivalent of 2000 rupees in the US:

Just make sure you are getting a module identical to the one in the laptop...same votage, same latency clock specs and same density (number of black blocks on the side, 4 or 8).

See p. 46 of the Manual for "how to":

Please tell me is this compatible with my laptop or not. Then I will purchase this and take this to HP Service Center. Thanks for your previous reply. 715cHGcW-SL._SL1000_.jpg

I would need to see the module already in it.

How will I show you, tell me Sir.

Without opening the computer the best way to do it is to install a little program called CPU-Z which will poll the memory and tell you its manufacturer part number which we can look up to see its exact specs:
