C: drive used space 188GB ,Capacity 451 GB.

😧 drive recovery image 11 GB,

E: drive HP tools2 GB

i only want to clone the C drive and the current HD will be used as extra space if i will be needing it..

1- which fast and reliable m2 ssd do u recommend  ?

2- which program do i need for this and cables if nessessary?

i looked in the 450 G2 specs and i found this:

STORAGE AND DRIVES

Primary Storage Bay

Hard Drives

320/500/750 GB**/1.0/1.5 TB** 5400 rpm SMART SATA HDD; 500GB/750GB** 7200 rpm SMART SATA HDD 500 GB** 5400 rpm SMART SATA Hybrid SSHD with 8GB NAND

Solid State Drive*

120 GB* M.2 Solid State Drive (440 G2 and 450 G2 only)

128 GB** 2.5" Solid State Drive

does that meanthat i am limited to 120GB in the M2 slot??

The issue is that your notebook requires an odd size.  2242 size specification is a bit of an odd bird.

Most M.2 SSD products are 2280.

There are only a couple of that type offered on the market.

Newegg.com lists a few and most are considerably less than 256 GB storage capacity. See the following link.

https://www.newegg.com/Product/ProductList.aspx?Submit=ENE&IsNodeId=1&N=100011693%20601193225

There are USB adapters for M.2 SSD that should fit your needs.

USB to M.2 adapters are available at NewEgg.com

https://www.newegg.com/Product/ProductList.aspx?Submit=ENE&DEPA=0&Order=BESTMATCH&Description=usb+to...

For cloning the HDD to the M.2 SSD that is in the USB to M.2 adapter there are programs such as Paragon software's  Migrate OS available.

https://www.paragon-software.com/home/migrate-os-to-ssd/

After the cloning is complete, install the M.2 SSD and make it your default boot disk. That should be all you need to do.

do all the M2-2242 are have low writing speed?

Model NT-64-22*42mm General Form factor 42mm(L) X 22mm(W)X3.2mm(H) Interface NGFF Performance Capacity 60GB/120GB/240GB Sustained Read (For reference only) 380~470MB/s | 410~480MB/s | 420~490MB/s Sustained Write (For reference only) 70~120MB/s | 110~130MB/s | 115~190MB/s Random IOPS   4KB Random Read IOPS 69000 4KB Random Write IOPS 40000 Average Access time 0.05ms

if yes then maybe its better getting sata3 ssd.. what do you think?

M.2 2242 form factor is a legacy platform so yes they will all be slower than current hardware. And yes you would be best off with a SATA-3 2.5 inch SSD.
