Your machine has Intel core processor, namely:  Intel® Core™ i5-8250U (1.6 GHz base frequency, up to 3.4 GHz with Intel® Turbo Boost Technology, 6 MB cache, 4 cores) therefore it has 2 slots of RAM and supports 16GB max as shown on page 2 of the manual

Two memory module slots (Intel Core processors):
Memory is non-customer accessible/non-upgradeable
DDR4-2400 dual channel support (8th generation Intel processors)
Supports up to 16 GB of system RAM in the following configurations:
● 16384 MB (8192 MB×2)
● 12288 MB (8192 MB×1 + 4096 MB×1)
● 8192 MB (8192 MB×1 or 4096×2)
● 4096 MB (4096 MB×1 or 2048×2)

Your machine curently has  8 GB DDR4-2400 SDRAM (1 x 8 GB), you can add SAME 8GB RAM on slot 2 to have 16GB.

Regards.
