Please assist, what cloning software should I use?
I need software that will clone my 750HDD and transfer it to a 250GB SSD.
I purchased an HP SSD to replace my existing HDD. I need to clone information on my existing HDD, transfer it along with the boot information onto my new SSD. Currently, my HDD has 95.6GB on it.
I've looked for an acceptable software, such as Acronis and Macrum Reflect, however they require the SSD capacity must match the HDD, and I don't need that much capacity.
Other available software I've checked out EaseUS and Minitool. They clone for backup only i.e., EaseUS doesn't support Linux boot record.
Another alternative is to purchase a Samsung SSD and use Magician software, or use my computer reset capability and rebuild the environment (a lot if time will be required), Thank you

Hi:
It was my understanding that the Macrium Reflect Free version 8 software does allow you to clone a larger capacity drive to a smaller one.
