Hello. My HP Omen 17 Laptop has a small SSD with only 128GB space. I bought a larger SSD 2TB and I'm trying to install it. I've successfully got the cover off, battery out and found where the existing SSD is. See Diagram on Page 33 of the user manual: http://h10032.www1.hp.com/ctg/Manual/c06367528
Now here's the problem. There's room for two SSDs but only one connector. There's an outline on the green board where the second connector could be attached, but it's not there. I see exactly the same as 3.00-3.30 of this youtube: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DZFCGKnGbJs
I found an article that says some of the HP Omen laptops are missing the connector like this, though they do have the physical space to install it.
So what should I do? I could either:
(a) try to acquire the extra connector and try to install it. if so, anybody know how I can identify and order the parts? and whether I need to do any fancy footwork in the BIOS or whatever to get the hardware to recognise it's there?
OR
(b) try instead to replace the existing SSD. if I do this, is there any way to copy the contents from the old onto the new? the laptop does have a second (spinning disk) hard drive with enough space.
I'm not sure how hard either of these are, but could use some advice on how to go about either or both options
Thanks in advance!

For anybody reading, I've resolved this issue. Specifically
(a) NO-GO - acquiring a second internal SSD connector for this specific laptop is not an option. HP Support (via their WhatsApp help line) have confirmed that the laptop specs do not support a second internal SSD being mounted in this way, even though there's a physical space for it.
(b) SOLVED - I did find that there are inexpensive USB-NVMe connectors out there that allow me to temporarily convert an internal SSD chip to a (clunky) USB key, allowing me to clone my data from old SSD to new SSD. Then I was able to switch the new SSD in internally, and the system accepted it and restarted fine.
So now I have the new 2TB SSD installed as my boot drive internally, and I also have a (clunky) USB key comprising my old 128GB SSD with a USB-NVMe connector. That is good enough. Space problem solved.
NB. I did find an HP parts supplier in my country - they offered two components that are sometimes used in HP Omen Laptops:
- a ribbon cable 929450-001
- a bracket mount 929561-001
Whether there is a way to use these with my specific model I couldn't work out - eg no idea where the ribbon cable would plug in.
These parts are also mentioned in another post: https://h30434.www3.hp.com/t5/Gaming-Notebooks/Number-of-M-2-slots/td-p/7607433
