Hi!

I'm Piero and I've discovered that my PC has a mSATA port for an SSD on its motherboard. I want to ask you what type of SSD I can install and if I can install a 240gb SSD where I can clone my OS, for example this one (http://www.amazon.it/Samsung-MZ-MTE250BW-840-EVO-HardDisk/dp/B00HFD9C5O/ref=sr_1_4?ie=UTF8&qid=14068...

Thanks for your help and your patience.

Sorry sir.

The link you provided is 404 Not found.

Well, Check your laptop manual and see what sata it uses (sata, sata 2,sata 3)

Note it down.

To see if it is compatible, compare that information you noted down with your new ssd, you should find this information in the specs of your ssds you searched for.

Thanks for your answer! I've repaired the link of my first message.

The problem is that I can't find a specific manual for my notebook online. I've tried in HP website and I' have found nothing about that... Could you help me, please?

From this guide:

Your sata cable is SATA ((da) 1 which is sata 1.

In the document you have sent to me I've found only "SATA da 1 TB (5400 rpm)" which is the type of HDD installed on my Notebook. I don't want to change it, but I want to add an mSATA disk on the specific bay I've found opening the service door of the notebook. Look at this picture! Can I install an mSATA there? And what type, size is compatible with my notebook? Thanks for your patience! :generic:
