I am trying to install a Portable USB 3.0 interface DVD player to my HP Stream laptop, but it doesn't read the DVD in the player

Hi:

 

You have to install free DVD playing software since W10 doesn't come with any.

 

I recommend the free VLC Media player which you can get from the Microsoft Store
