Thinking of replacing the Realtek 8822BE wireless card with the Intel AC9260 I mention, and need to know with 100% certainty that it is fully compatible or not...  Looking for answers from folks who have actually tried the swap, no "it should/might/won't work" answers please, if you have not actually tried it.  My ENVY x360 15z has the RYZEN 5-3500U chip set, using the latest BIOS.

Please again, this is about compatibility of the AC 9260 card, not how to deal with the current Realtek one, warranty concerns, etc.  Thanks.

Your odds of actually finding someone who has done that specific swap are virtually nonexistent. Also the model number you have given is not quite right as it returns no results. If you want someone to actually review the literature we need to know what to look at and if you are waiting for someone who has actually done this upgrade then just don't respond and wait for that person to come in.

The product number is 5QN27AV_1, under W10 system it is listed as 15-ds0xxx, and the factory box says 15-ds000...  Maybe this is a better match.  This link is where my initial number came from:

Maybe this will help.

I know Ryzen systems were known not to play nice with the Intel AC9260 until about 2018 when AMD issued new Code and manufacturers started making BIOS updates using suggestions from AMD. Previously the wifi card would install but was prone to freezing and disappearing from the system so there was a lot of frustration with it. Based on the Manual, the wifi card you have was the only option offered. HP does sell some Ryzen systems with Intel cards so in and of itself that is not a problem.

Since your laptop was only issued in 2019 I tend to think the AC9260 would work but again, no way to be sure based on the limited information HP makes public about these things.
