Hi,

I have read today about the Intel Management Engine Critical Firmware Update (Intel SA-00086) and i wondered if HP is aware and when they rollout an update?

Even if HP does not document a fix for your system, don't give up just yet.

Rolling out fixes is, partly, a function of time.  So keep checking back.  In this other thread, I document four steps which helped me monitor status until I found resolution.

I hope this might help someone else save some time.

No, HP has a fix for some models (Towers) posted on the forum, but no updated drivers/firmware for laptops posted as yet.

I look forward to hearing from an HP representative on this.

Sepend 30 min today with HP support then with Intel support.

They point to each other, but no resolution so far.

Was suggested by HP support, that I have to go to the paid support as it is a "3rd Party Software problem".

Total frustration as of now.

Support is not prepared to answer questions!

Where did you see the fix posted, please?

HEY, Mr HP,  IS THERE EVER COMING SOME ANSWER?? or is this some therapy for the unhappy ones?

Some politeness from HP and announcements when and what to expect...... will be appreciated very much, thank you!
