Laptop PC 15s-fq2000 (also listed as 15-dy2xxx)
Microsoft Windows 11

I just bought this laptop last month, and I am constantly getting this error notification:

Intel Optane Memory and Storage

Attention required

One of your disks is at risk (SMART event). Please open Intel Optane Memory and Storage Management application for details.

When I click on the message box it opens the Intel Management App which says my system is operating normally.

My laptop does not have Optane memory drive. My drive is NVMe SSD.

I'm not sure why this notification is even appearing given that there's no optane drive.

Is this something I need to pay any attention to? Can I ignore these notifications?

Thanks for any info / help on this issue.

I disabled the error notification in the Optane app about a month ago and have had no problems.

Has this issue resolved for you?  I am having the same random / occasional notice. I do not have optane either.  I have posted in the forum without a solution. How did you get help?

I also have had HP Support Assistant recommend a BIOS update which did not apply. I ignored that one and it was eventually removed.  So I question this SMART alert that I am getting. Any insight you have is appreciated. Thank you!
