My personal computer is HP 470 17 inch G9 Notebook PC (6S788EA#UUW)
Intel's graphics driver DOES NOT STAY, because via Windows Updateit is ALWAYS after a few days AUTOMATICALLY updated back to this SAME very old version (2024-08-07): WU tells “Intel Corporation - Display - 32.0.101.5763”.
This bug was reported already in 2023 and now it's a big problem for a HUGE number of users.
This has been reported numerous times to Microsoft Windows Support, but they have not reacted to this problem in any way (Intel Support said that this matter belongs to Microsoft).
Intel released a new driver: 32.0.101.6913 June 27, 2025.
Then July 5, 2025 via Windows Update: it AGAIN updated automatically back to the SAME old version 32.0.101.5763!
WHY IS THIS SERIOUS ERROR? I DO NOT KNOW ANY MORE, WHAT TO DO?

SOLUTION FOUND:
(This instruction was provided by one of Microsoft's Independent Advisors).
- Disable: Include drivers in Windows Updates in the Local Group Policy Editor.
- Click Run
- Search for "Edit Group Policy" (gpedit.msc)
- Go to Computer Configuration > Administrative Templates > Windows Components > Windows Update > Manage updates provided by Windows Update
- Select Manage updates provided by Windows Update
- Double-click: Do not include drivers in Windows Update policy
- Select Enable
- Click OK
- Close Local Group Policy Editor
This will prevent Windows Update from installing older drivers.
You can exclude drivers from Windows quality updates.

I would now like a moderator or an independent advisor or even an HP expert to comment on the problem!
It is IMPOSSIBLE for me to contact HP Official Support for my personal computer!
I have tried to get there using several different routes (Signed in to my account), but HP always BLOCKS access by giving some reason and redirects to another webpage and I cannot proceed.

I finally got into a chat with the expert about the problem (I described it very carefully).
Right from the start he told me: "This is the version listed on our website and this is the latest one: Intel High-Definition (HD) Graphics Driver System 31.0.101.4502 Rev.A 310.5 MB Jul 31, 2023 (VERY OLD). According to HP’s official website, this is the only version currently recommended for installation" (completely incomprehensible from HP).
This ended the conversation AS UNFAIR. Intel updates graphics drivers always NOW after about 1 - 2 months.
That expert didn't have any know-how - all he could offer was understanding and he asked me to try out different complicated service packs (https://ftp.hp.com/pub/softpaq/sp148501-149000/sp148579.exe and https://ftp.hp.com/pub/softpaq/sp157501-158000/sp157886.exe HP Firmware Pack (Intel Processors, SSID 899B, 899C).
That was not real help.
"We understand how frustrating this issue is - especially with the driver reverting automatically via Windows Update".
He asked also completely irrelevant questions.
Support was of no help to me!
Intel updates graphics driver often

While investigating this issue, I noticed something quite strange. Since I live in Europe, I was asked to contact HP support United Kingdom:
https://support.hp.com/gb-en/contact
The specialist agreed to provide support via email instead of chat.
In the email conversation, I noticed a strange entry:
"Received: Thu Jul 24 2025 18:11:27 GMT+0530 (India Standard Time)
To: HPservicessupport <hpservicesupport@hp.com>;"
So was I connected to India instead of the United Kingdom?
Does HP European Support work from India?
Could a moderator or an independent advisor tell here how it is?

SITUATION August 21, 2025:
That instruction seems to work well for me. Intel released the latest graphics driver update:
Version: 32.0.101.6987
Release date: August 6, 2025
Size: 949.8 MB
It has NOT updated (automatically) via Windows Update back to the old version as it ALWAYS did before within 1 week!😀👍
