I own a HP Omen 15-ax009na laptop running Windows 10. I am having issues with the intergrated webcam, where the OS cannot see it, to the point where it doesn't turn up in Device Manager and the Windows hardware troubleshooter is not doing anything.
There is every chance the driver may be uninstalled, but I cannot find the required driver to reinstall, even on this website. Closest to what I need is a "Intel RealSense Depth Camera Manager (DCM) Driver", which I am assuming isn't what I am looking for.
I'm assuming I just need a generic windows camera driver, but I can't find any from any websites I trust (e.g. HP and Microsoft). Can someone point me in the right direction?

Hi:
The only suggestion I can offer would be to try the HP Universal Camera driver...
This package contains an HP Universal Camera Driver to support the integrated webcams in supported notebook models that are running a supported operating system.
http://ftp.hp.com/pub/softpaq/sp82001-82500/sp82001.exe
The webcam should be showing up in the device manager under the Imaging Devices category.

Hi:
If I had to take a guess, I would say you would run the HPUCD file. Probably stands for HP Universal Camera Driver setup file.
Usually when you run a driver file, it automatically runs.
It doesn't pop up a folder with more than one setup option.

None seemed to do anything.
hpqRun.exe requested admin, did nothing except the following log file:

HPUCDSlient.exe requested admin, and did nothing except delete the previous log file (?).
SigFile.exe flashed a console window. Running in CMD didn't reveal anything.
Setup.bat in the Chicony folder ran an 2 installers, one failed with "Can not find the device", and one seemed to run, but on restart did nothing.
I'm suprised the installation of something as basic as a camera driver can be so complex. Maybe a hardware issue? The webcam (built into the top) might've disconnected somehow?

You're very welcome.
Sorry I wasn't able to help you get the webcam to work.
If your notebook is still under warranty, you may want to contact HP technical support and submit a support case under the warranty.
