Is HP Charger interchanagable?

I have 2 HP laptops (HP Elitebook 840) and HP Pavilion x360. Can I use the charger of HP Elitebook 840 to charge the HP Pavilion x360? Let me know if you need more configuration details.

Check the adapter types using PartSurfer.

If you can do so, use the serial numbers to check each of the computers - if the information is available, using the serial number does provide the most detail.

PartSurfer might be able to tell you exactly which parts came with your computer.

For best results, use the Serial Number (do NOT post that here on the Community) to search for your device.

 Open PartSurfer

• Select your Country
• Search for your computer / printer / device
• Need Help?  Tab Self help > find and open the User Guide and FAQ

How to use PartSurfer:

• Select your region / country - PartSurfer must know your general location
• Enter your device Product Number , Serial Number, or Part Number in the Quick Search box
• HINT: To see a system-specific list, replace the Product Number with your device Serial Number
• Items accompanied by a tiny box in the Add-to-Cart column are available for purchase
• N/A means the part is not carried / offered for purchase by HP.

Parts marked as available for purchase might be available from:  HP Parts Store

OR

Use your search engine to find the part number at your favorite online store.

Open the Service Guide (title / document name varies)

Thank you so much for the quick response. I used the Partsurfer tool and found following information for HP Elitebook AC Adapter: 

GNRC-45W ADPTR nPFC SMART RC 4.5mm nSLIM   AC Adapter

Is it ok if I post the same information for my other HP Laptop Pavilion here and you can help me decide if I can interchange the charger?

So my one laptop says "SPS-45W ADPTR NPFC SMART RC 4.5mm NSLIM" and other "GNRC-45W ADPTR nPFC SMART RC 4.5mm nSLIM". Does it mean I can use the adapter of one laptop on the other or will it create an issue?

Adapters are not my area of specialty.

I would rely on the Model / Product number (information found in PartSurfer) and / or the Service Guide for the computer model. 

No posted model / product numbers...

Compare the AC adapter part numbers - look for compatibility based on the specific information.

Parts are listed by part number in the PartSurfer results for your model / serial number.

Check PartSurfer for the exact model (or use serial number for more precision)

NOTE: Do NOT post serial numbers on the Community

Find the part number in the list for your adapter

Check the PartSurfer for the particular part number.

For example,
