HP Pavilion g6-1247SA
Microsoft Windows 7 (64-bit)

I have a HP Pavilion g6 series running windows 7.

Has anybody sucessfully upgraded to windows 10.

When looking on the HP support website i do not think that HP have provided the drivers to enable an upgrade to Windows 10

Thanks Ken

Yes technically the Intel HD video associated with your 1st gen i3 processor is not supported for Windows 10. However it will work fine using a Windows Update driver. See this discussion on the Windows Forum:

Windows 10 will provide all the drivers you need and if for some reason it does not we can help you locate a driver that will work.

Thanks for your response

I have an Intel(R) HD Graphics version 8.15.10.2559 driver

dated 21/10/2011

The Intel Support Assistance is stating that the driver is for Windows 7 only

I have a concern that if I upgrade to windows 10 my screen may stop working,

It will not stop working; worst case Windows 10 will supply a generic driver and you will still have screen display. I strongly urge a clean install of Windows 10 not an inplace upgrade if you want to avoid problems.
