If you want to take the benefit of RAM, you may do it now. Also it is non customer upgradeable part even though it is pretty simple to do. i.e., if something breaks if you do it yourself in the process of upgrade HP will not honour the warranty.
Whether HP service center in your region does it for you, you've to contact them directly. It depends, for me they did the upgrade free of cost eventhough it needed major disassembly in mine.
