Hp Pavilion 24 R-014
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I recently purchased an all-in-one computer. The HP Pavilion 24 R-014. I want to install an M.2 SSD card in the available M.2 slot. I am looking at the Samsung 960 EVO series 250GB PCIe NVMe card. Will this Samsung SSD card be compatible with my new computer? The HP Pavilion 24 R014 has a Klingon -UF motherboard.

HP neglected to add that information to the models specs for whatever reason. We can only speculate as to what was intended without specific info, which can lead to inaccurate answers. Huffer is correct in his assessment.

I did find that the 27 inch version is using the same motherboard (Klingon UF).

Its specs show the Klingon UF motherboard using NVMe M.2.

If you look on the short end of the M.2 slot on your board, it will have either 5 or 6 pins indicating an M or B keyed slot.

So its not concrete, but I will assume your 24-r014 all-in-one is NVMe. If so, the Samsung 960 EVO would work.

The specs do not say whether it is SATA only for the M.2 or if an NVME will work:

How does the HP Expert's answer help answer that reasonable question?

It doesn't but it does help show that the user should not invest in such a piece of hardware without assurance that it will work. And how did asking the obvious question advance the cause? If you don't have anything positive to contribute, fight the urge to just type some random stuff on the keyboard, huh?

A bit of an arrogant response, I think.
