Hi, I own the HP 17.3 inch Ryzen 7 laptop. I currently have 1 TB of HDD and would like to upgrade to an M.2. I have been searching for hours on HP's services and other sites but could not find any definite information. Thank you for your clarification.

Yes it is.

Service Manual

Start on p. 37 to get instructions to open it up and inside there is this:

M.2 slot = red circle HDD = green squareM.2 slot = red circle HDD = green square

You can ADD a PCIe/NVME M.2 2280 SSD (the fastest kind) and I recommend Samsung 970 Evo or Evo Plus.
