I just ran a test on https://uk.crucial.com/ to check if I was able to upgrade the RAM in my laptop and it came back with this which I don't really understand:
It says my Maximum Memory is 1GB but I already have 8GB installed and then 512MB is removable for Standard Memory. Sometimes Crucial isn't always 100% correct so just wondering if anyone else knows. I tried looking for the information on the HP website and Curry's, the place I bought it from but they've removed the product from their website so can't really see the specifications anymore.

I don't know why Crucial reported like that BUT also from Crucial UK
https://uk.crucial.com/gbr/en/compatible-upgrade-for/HP---Compaq/pavilion-15-bc550na
Which says it supports 64GB
https://uk.crucial.com/gbr/en/pavilion-15-bc550na/CT16265189
but very safe to use 32GB
https://uk.crucial.com/gbr/en/pavilion-15-bc550na/CT15613021 (will run @ 2666MHz)
Regards.
