HP Laptop Model 15-da0598sa‎
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I have a HP Laptop Model 15-da0598sa‎ and it’s very slow. When I go into task manager it says the hard drive is at 100%, even if just turned on the laptop and nothing else is open and theres no backround processes. Is the hard drive removable in my laptop and would I be able to replace it with any 2.5” Sata HDD?

Hi:

Yes, the hard drive is removable, and I will give you two options to replace it.

1. You can replace the existing 2.5" SATA hard drive with a better performing 2.5" SATA solid state drive (SSD).

Replacing the drive with another 2.5" mechanical hard drive will most likely put you right where you are now.

Better still, your notebook has a M.2 slot that supports the even faster performing NVMe 2280 SSD's.

Below is the link to the service manual where you can find the hard drive removal and replacement procedure.
