Is the hinges and back cover for HP r249tu model is same as that of the other HP r series model..?

I have my laptop hinges and back cover broken. I am planning to buy it in online. Their it dosen't shows the exact model number,  only written as 'suitable for r series'. Can i buy it.. is it suitable for my laptop?

Hi,

On page 20 of the service manual, you can see the various parts and the part number.

So, the hinges are 774166-001 and the back cover for the back cover 761695-001. You can use the part number to search online.

On page 78 of the service manual, you can see how to remove the display assembly from the base of the notebook.

Starting on page 49 you can see how to replace the hinges and the back cover.

I didn't get the actual solution to my question. My doubt is whether the hinges or backcover of hp r series is suitable for all its r series models, is it exactly match with all the specifications?

OK. Yes, they are the same for the whole 15-rXXX series. There are two sets of hinges. One for non-touch screen models such as yours and a different set for touch screen models.
