HP Stream - 14-cb112wm
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

This product information page lists the numeral 12 with square backets for hard drive: https://support.hp.com/us-en/document/c06086001

I don't know what that is supposed to mean and am hoping it means there's a PCI SSD port on the motherboard.  Any information is appreciated.

Assuming you mean m.2 nvme (which connects dirrectly to PCIe), or m.2 sata as far as I can tell no.

There is an m.2 port for wifi, so if you no longer want wifi you might get something in there, but its hard to tell if that would accept the nvme standard. Nor is it keyed in a way for any standard m.2 ssd to function in

Hi,

The PC is not upgradeable. The 12 probably does not mean anything (maybe left there for notes which where not included)

Your PC does not have an SSD slot and is not possible to add more storage, unless you use  USB or SD card storage.

Hope it helps,

David
