Is there a second RAM and NVME slot in hp pavilion 15?also what are compatible samsung ram and m.2

I was thinking about adding more RAM and SSD and need to confirm if my laptop has a second RAM and NVME slot in it,its HP Pavilion 15 dk-1056wm and has 8GB DDR4 ram and 256GB PCIe NVME M.2 SSD,i have already got a 1TB HDD just need a bigger SSD and RAM,also what are compatible Samsung ram and m.2 ssd that i can get?

Hi:

Your notebook only has one M.2 slot for a SSD and that is already filled with the 256 GB drive you have now.

If you want more storage, buy a larger capacity M.2 SSD such as the Samsung 980.

Your notebook has two memory slots, and you can install a max of 2 x 16 GB in the slots.

See chapter 1 of the service manual for the memory upgrade info.

The manual is for the older model series with the Intel 9th gen core processors, so if you plan on upgrading the memory, get DDR4-3200 memory and not DDR4-2666 memory as listed in the manual.

Thanks ,i wish it had 2 m.2 slots and i would only need one more 256m.2 ,now i will have to spend more cause i also wanna keep one 1 tb hdd

You're very welcome.

Some of the newer (different) models that came out have two M.2 slots, but to the best of my knowledge yours doesn't.

There is no reference in the manual to having more than one M.2 slot for storage.
