Solved!

Is there a way that I could upgrade RAM on my HP ENVY X360 - 13-ar0126au?

Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

So, I recently found out that the integrated graphics uses up about 2GB of my RAM (which is 8GB), and leaves me with only 5.88 GB usable. When I asked the salesman before buying it he said that it is upgradeable but he doesn't seem sure. Is there a way that I could upgrade RAM on my HP ENVY X360 - 13-ar0126au?

Hi:

The product specs for your notebook indicate the memory is onboard (soldered to the motherboard), and cannot be upgraded.

The service manual indicates the same.  There is also no procedure listed to remove or replace the memory.

In case you want to know why 2 GB of memory is being used up, your notebook was designed that way on purpose.

HP released this document a while back, which explains the memory shortage...

This seems to only apply to some models with the AMD Ryzen processors.
