Is there any way to protect my HP Spectre power button???

I recently dropped my brand new HP Spectre and due to its beautiful diamond cut design, the entire power button was destroyed. After 3 months (!!!) of waiting on my laptop and horrible customer service, I finally have my computer back.

Now my question is: how in the hell do I protect a power button like this?

I already used a laptop bag/case that came with it, wich obviously did nothing. Do you have some small plastic stickers I could put on the corners? Some sort of bumper protector?  If anyone has any ideas please help me out! I didn’t pay 2000 euros just to keep my laptop in repair stores.

Also who surrounds a power button with 4 soft and bendable aluminium corners?????

Your criticisms of the laptop design are just plain unreasonable. 

Consumer laptops are NOT designed to survive being dropped. Period!  So, no manufacturer is going to add safeguards against that which would only drive up the price so much that sales would suffer.

If you want a laptop that survives being dropped -- go out any buy a Panasonic ToughBook -- those are used by the Military.

Im sorry but if my question is unreasonable, your answer is just as unreasonable... You mean to tell me that the point of your whole answer was to “not drop my laptop”? I wish I had thought about that before I “yeeted” it out the window??? You could’ve just said nothing in my opinion. I understand they’re not built to fall, but after all it ís built for consumers, shouldn’t that be a thing to hold in mind.. have you actually looked at the design of the spectre power button? And the material that it’s made of? I mean, there’s “not made to fall” and then there’s this design.. a MacBook is also not designed to fall but at least the power button isn’t surrounded by bendable edges... 

If anyone else has an answer, I’m still looking for a way to isolate the power button, while traveling, because you could just look at this thing, and it’s broken.
