Microsoft Windows 11

I am asking about this specific type of the latest Victus 16 laptop (r1058nt) with i5-14500HX and RTX4050 .

The internal storage is just 512GB, so upgrade is absolutely necessary, could you tell me is thers is a 2nd M.2 slot available in the laptop ?

Base on the manual, it has Primary storage but NO Secondary storage. Many users actually opened the machine and confirmed NO provision for secondary storage.

Regards.

Hi ILEO!

Your laptop is a refresh of the previous 16-r0000 Victus. It uses a 14th gen intel instead of the previous 13th gen. Believe it or not, Intel has codenamed 14th gen as "Raptor Lake Refresh" so that means your laptop is a refresh and uses a CPU refresh. Should be exactly the same as the original 16-r0000 in all other aspects.

The 13th gen series, according to its specifications sheet, DID HAVE DUAL STORAGE but only if the more powerful Intel-HX CPUs were used.

HP customers that actually had Victuses with these powerful CPUs opened up their laptops and found out that there were TWO (2) SSD slots..... https://h30434.www3.hp.com/t5/Notebook-Hardware-and-Upgrade-Questions/SSD-maximum-capacity/td-p/9001...

Furthermore, reviews showed that the specifications sheet was accurate:

Review of 13500HX model (Notebookcheck)

To sum it all up: Your laptop is a Refresh of the previous 16-r0000 Victus and uses a performance Intel-HX Raptor Lake Refresh. Although HP has no official documentation for the 16-r1000 "Refreshed refreshes", unless it has decided to completely abandon secondary storage (seriously doubt it) then you HAVE TWO (2) m.2 SSD slots on your 14500HX laptop.......
