HP Pavilion 15-cb004nq
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Hello, I received my HP Pavilion Power 15 not long time ago, January 5 to be more exact. I simply love this laptop, its design, its performance and many more... but there is a thing that concerns me.

As it can be seen in the photo I posted, the exhaust from the fan blows right on the screen and the screen gets pretty warm in the zone near the exhaust. I mean, isn`t this bad for the display?

If yes, why would HP include such a flaw to ruin such a great laptop? I understand, it was probably intended to enable the possibility of a sleeker design but still..
Maybe I am wrong and this will not cause harm to the screen?

Thing is, until February 2 I have the right to return the laptop and I don`t know what I should do because I really like this laptop.

Hi,

The exhaust will not hurt the screen. The temperature wii not be high enough to cause any damage. I am quite sure it will never reach 60°C. There are actually 2 fans cooling the system. Nice and powerfull computer. Sometimes side vents will be bloacked by mistake which can not happen in this system.

Hope it helps,

David

Hello, thanks for your answer.
But still, even if it does not cause damage "on the spot", isn`t the long lasting exposure of the screen to the hot air causing harm eventually, after some months or a year for example?

Glad I'm not the only one who has this concern. My biggest fear is when the screen breaks just after the 2 year warranty and it would be very expensive to replace it.

Yeah, this kind of fan placing is actually kind of weird to me. Like I understand that the design is slim and light and all, but every time I close my laptop, the hot heat exhaust from my computer just comes out onto the screen and the heat doesn't really escape anywhere. But I think the laptop is great besides that little issue.
