HP Pavilion x360 - 13-u135u
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

My above HP Pavilion x360 - 13-u135u keyboard is suddenly not working properly. Right now also, I am typing on the pad mode with my touchscreen keyboard. I have tried the following troubleshoots:-

1) Pressed ESC tab on Restart and setup has opened and I could move with the arrows ;

2) Pressed the start button (on the side) for 8-10 seconds ;

3) Tried uninstalling the keyboard HID keyboard software, but on restart it appears again automatically (probably I am doing this incorrectly) ??

Please help

Welcome to HP Community

I have gone through your Post and would like to help

Please run a Keyboard Test from F2 Diagnostic and let me know how it goes

- Hold the power button for at least five seconds to turn off the Notebook.
- Turn on the computer and immediately press Esc repeatedly, about once every second.
- When the menu appears, press the F2 key.
- On the main menu, click Component Tests and Keyboard

Thank you

Hi KrazyToad,

I did the F2 Diagnostic Test for my Keyboard and it said PASSED. All the keys were working fine and right now also I am typing with my main keyboard. But the problem still persists. Now I have to close my Laptop's lid again-n-again to get onto my Locked-screen, wherein one can see the EASE-TO-ACCESS tab (Screenshot attached). Now every time, I have to press this tab and then only my Keyboard starts functioning. Otherwise, it hangs-up sometimes and I have to do the above procedure of closing the lid.

Kindly help!! I am very confused, as to , whether it A Software or A Hardware issue? I have also done Factory-Reset of my  laptop and reinstalled the OS and everything else, but still the problem persists and now it is getting very frustrating.

Regards

Pravz

2) Check for updates.

3) If the updates are available, click on install and restart the computer.

Step 2 HP Support Assistant Updates -

2) Check for updates.

3) If the updates are available, click on install and restart the computer.

Also, update the BIOS. Refer to the document HP Consumer Notebook PCs - Updating the BIOS  for help.
