It sounds like your keyboard isn't responding—let's get it working again! Here are some troubleshooting steps to try:

 

Basic Fixes

Check Physical Connections

  • If it's a wired keyboard, unplug and reconnect it.
  • If it's wireless, replace the batteries or recharge it.

Restart Your Computer

  • Sometimes a simple restart can resolve the issue.

Try a Different USB Port

  • If using a USB keyboard, plug it into another port.

 

Software Fixes

Run the Keyboard Troubleshooter

  • Go to SettingsUpdate & SecurityTroubleshootKeyboard.
  • Run the troubleshooter and follow the prompts.

Update or Reinstall the Keyboard Driver

  • Open Device Manager (Win + X → **Device Manager`).
  • Expand Keyboards, right-click your keyboard, and select Update driver.
  • If updating doesn’t work, select Uninstall device, restart your PC, and let Windows reinstall it.

Disable Filter Keys

  • Go to SettingsAccessibilityKeyboard.
  • Turn off Filter Keys, which can cause unresponsiveness.
