HP ENVY x360 Convertible
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

The keyboard on my HP Envy is not working. I have tried every solution that I’ve found online (uninstalled driver, restart, held down shift key, reset, etc etc etc) and nothing is working. However, when I restart and hit escape repeatedly to bring up the menu, the keys work then. I am using windows 10. I get the message that I already have the best driver installed so it won’t recommend any others (if that makes sense) Please help! The touchpad and touch screen aren’t working either.

@mikerlogan Welcome to HP Community!

I understand the Keyboard, touchpad, and touch screen stopped working.

Don't worry as I'll be glad to help, however, to provide an accurate resolution, I need a few more details:

Have you attempted to reinstall the drivers?

While you respond to that, here's what you need to do:

Uninstall and reinstall the drivers for your mouse:

Go to the Device Manager and select your mouse. Uninstall it and then restart your computer. During restart, your mouse driver will automatically be reinstalled.

  • 1.   Click on Start and type ‘Device Manager’.

  • 2.   Click Device Manager.

  • 3.   Click + sign next to Mouse.

  • 4.   Right-click on mouse entry and choose "uninstall".

  • 5.   Restart your computer.

Click here to find and install the BIOS and Chipset driver for your device.

If the issue still persists, perform the system reset
