HP 15.6 inch Laptop PC 15-fc0000 (733M5AV)
Microsoft Windows 11

Basically, the keys 3, f1, f2, f3, and f4 will not work unless i press D at the same time. whenever im able to type "3" after using D, i can use it for a bit, before having to press D at the same time again. also, SOME TIMES, when i press the lower/increase volume buttons, nothing happens. and then after a few seconds, it starts decreasing/increasing volume for however long i had been pressing the button for. the same delay happens with shift, if i hold it for a while, it keeps effect for however long i've pressed it for, before eventually stopping a few moments later. i dont know what to do, failure ID is 90E411-000D9A-92457F-G1ND13.

Hi @alcorgastomilo

Thank you for responding.

I understand that you're experiencing issues with your keyboard. It can be when certain keys work only when another key is pressed simultaneously, and when the volume and Shift keys respond with a delay.

To help narrow down the cause, could you please confirm whether the issue occurs with the built-in laptop keyboard or an external keyboard? Also, please share the first five keys that failed, in the order you noticed the issue.

In the meantime, please try the following troubleshooting steps:

Check the keyboard functionality

  • Restart your computer and check whether the issue persists.
  • If you are using the built-in keyboard, connect an external USB keyboard, if available, and check whether the same issue occurs.
  • If you are using an external USB keyboard, disconnect and reconnect it, try a different USB port, and check whether the issue persists.

Check keyboard settings

  • Open Settings > Accessibility > Keyboard in Windows.
  • Check whether Filter Keys or Sticky Keys is enabled. If enabled, temporarily turn it off and test the keyboard again.
  • Check whether the issue occurs in different applications.

If the issue persists, please share the results and confirm whether the keyboard works normally in the BIOS or diagnostic environment. This will help determine whether the issue may be related to the keyboard hardware or Windows.

Thanks for answering.

Issues continue on restart, this issue does not happen on an external keyboard, continues with sticky keys and filter keys disabled, happens on all applications, and also happens on the HP keyboard troubleshoot.

I have also tried to run the computer on safe mode to see if any app was causing this, but it still happens. The first key that was EVER affected by this issue was shift, which started with that weird delay when i press it. I don't know how long after, since it was seemingly progressive, they "3" key was affected, along with f1, f2,f3 and f4, as well as the weird delay when increasing and decreasing volume.
