Purchased a Keyscaper wireless mouse and keyboard. The keyboard works just find but can't seem to get the mouse to be recognized. I have an HP Laptop which is touch screen. I have followed all the instructions provided by keyscaper.com
I have been waiting for keyscaper.com technical support to assist but meanwhile, could use Microsoft Technical support, if possible.
I have tried adding device in settings, but it does not find the device. Batteries are new and verified working on keyboard when switched.

@KemptonPark, Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
It’s great to hear that your Keyscaper wireless keyboard is working fine! Since your HP laptop recognizes the keyboard but not the mouse, here are a few steps you can follow to troubleshoot the issue:
Check the USB Receiver (Dongle)
- Most wireless combo devices (mouse + keyboard) share a single USB receiver.
- Make sure the USB dongle is securely plugged into the laptop. Try unplugging and replugging it into a different USB port.
- If the keyboard works through the same receiver, it should detect the mouse as well, unless the mouse itself has failed.
Confirm the Mouse Power and Batteries
Ensure the mouse power switch is turned ON (usually on the bottom).
Swap the mouse batteries even if new, some may appear fine but underload differently than the keyboard.
Re-Pair Mouse to Receiver (If Applicable)
Some combo devices allow re-pairing. Check Keyscaper's user manual or support page for re-pairing instructions.
If pairing is needed, follow their exact timing steps for mouse detection.
Check Device Manager in Windows
- Right-click on Start > Device Manager
- Expand Mice and other pointing devices
- See if the mouse shows up (as HID-compliant mouse or similar).
- If you see a yellow triangle ❗ or “Unknown Device,” right-click and uninstall it. Then, unplug and replug the dongle.
Try on Another Computer
- To isolate the issue, try using the mouse (and receiver) on a different computer.
- If the mouse fails to work on another device, it could be defective.
Optional: Windows Troubleshooter
Go to Settings > Bluetooth & devices > Devices
Scroll down to Troubleshoot or go to Control Panel > Troubleshooting > Hardware and Devices
Run the troubleshooter and follow on-screen steps.
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.
