I bought the laptop and in less than 6 months, the hinges got broken. I tried everything possible to fix it before the warranty expired but I got all sorts of push back from the hp support team here. I was told since the laptop was bought in Africa they cannot fix it in America. It's quite bad that a lot of people have experienced this issue with this model and I am yet to see a success story. The model is bad and the team that designed it should have questions to answer. It is really sad you buy an expensive laptop with your hard earned money and can't use it for even 6 months. Hp should do something about this because it is quite frustrating.

They will likely request information from you in order to look up your case details or product serial number. Please look for a private message from an identified HP contact.

 

Additionally, keep in mind not to publicly post personal information (serial numbers and case details).
