Hi Team 

 

i have HP 8460P which has VGA port , i try to connect the laptop to LG LG 32LJ590U model using VGA to HDMI .

 

it had given sound after connection then i can see Generic Non-PNP device on display device in control panel.

 

But i dont find any display on LG Smart TV , HDMI indicates no connected devices 

 

kindly help in resolving this issue.

The way you are trying to connect it for audio is not viable.

 

HDMI provides digital audio if the connection is from HDMI to HDMI.

 

If the connection is from an analog VGA connection, even if using an adapter, you still will not get a digital audio signal to the TV.
