Attention HP Support
The battery on my HP Pavillion 15-AU-158NR seems to be swelling & causing the keyboard to bulge. The battery has been replaced once before as part of the battery recall. Is the replacement battery defective already? Is this a potential fire hazard? Will HP repair the defect under warranty even though my laptop is beyond one year old?

I have brought your issue to the attention of an appropriate team within HP. They will likely request information from you in order to look up your case details or product serial number. Please look for a private message from an identified HP contact. Additionally, keep in mind not to publicly post personal information (serial numbers and case details).
If you are unfamiliar with how the Community's private message capability works, you can learn about that here.

I contacted HP Support and was advised that I would have to pay for a replacement battery. I was told that the replacement cost would be $577.00. I passed on the repair and have opted to replace the laptop. I'm less than happy with HP so I will be looking elsewhere.
