I see you're getting the HP Battery Alert (601 error) on startup. This usually means your internal battery's storage capacity has decreased, often due to aging or environmental factors. No worries—I can guide you through some steps to check and possibly fix this.

 

Answer these questions for me:

How old is your laptop? If it's been in use for several years, the battery may naturally be nearing the end of its lifespan.
Does your laptop still hold a charge, or does it drain quickly? If the battery dies too fast, it’s a strong sign it needs replacing.
Have you tried running the HP Battery Check tool? It can give a detailed health report on your battery.

 

Try these steps:

🔹 Run HP Battery Check

  • Open HP Support Assistant (search for it in Windows).
  • Go to Battery Check under Diagnostics.
  • Follow the on-screen instructions to assess battery health.

🔹 Perform a Hard Reset

  • Shut down your laptop and unplug the charger.
  • Hold down the power button for 15-20 seconds.
  • Reconnect power and restart the laptop.

🔹 Check for BIOS Updates

  • Outdated BIOS versions can sometimes misread battery health. You can check and update from HP’s official support page.
