Hello,

It had been more than a year with this problem.

Local technicians suggested that it might be due to RAM, Nvidia Graphic Card, Harddrive. They tried changing RAM, disabling Graphic card, changing Hard drive. But the problem still persists.

After using HP hardware Diagnostics I got the following error code for Lond Self drive test: "GU4C4X-78E9JJ-MFPV7G-61F513"

The error code suggests that Hard drive has to replaced. But still my laptop screen freezes and I can't do anything except force shutdown.

One thing which has been suggested elsewhere around t'Internet is to disable the Fast StartUp option.  Find the Power Options window, click on "Choose what closing the lid does" and then click on "Change settings that are currently unavailable".  You can then uncheck the Fast StartUp option.

I had a Lenovo laptop with exactly the same problem, found that suggestion made by someone with an HP laptop, tried it on the Lenovo and from freezing once or twice a week I had two freezes in six months.

Thanks for replying. It didn't help either.

In my case, PC freezes every 1 hour, sometimes minutes...
