I currently have an extended warranty for my laptop. Roughly a day ago, my laptop hinge 'broke'. I can't close or open my laptop without having the screen frame ripped out or breaking my screen entirely.
After calling, it was considered as a 'cosmetic' problem which wouldn't be covered as part of the warranty. I believe this is incorrect, after further research there has also been several lawsuits against HP for using fragile plastic parts which cause the hinge to break or become stuck.
I'm not sure how to proceed, or where I can submit my complaint. As I should cancel my extended warranty if it isn't covered either when it's clearly a manufacturing defect.
