Can I harm my HP laptop by shutting it down after I am done using it. I shut down my laptop after I am through and someone told me that I am damaging my laptop. I also shut it down each night after I am through.

If you are using your notebook multiple times a day, you are better off putting it in sleep mode, because a cold boot uses more energy that waking the PC up from sleep mode.

 

Shutting it down at the end of each day is fine.
