I have accidentally plugged in an Arduino device in USB port (3.0 port which is directly connected to the motherboard) in a wrong way. I have connected the ground pin to 5v and Vcc pin to 3.3v to be exact using a ftdi programmer. After doing this laptop suddenly died.
Need guidance to repair and evaluate the extent of the damage.
I hope my motherboard is safe and it's just the power circuit problem.
So, later I have opened my laptop and did a little debugging one IC near USB ports was damaged, with my knowledge in electronics, it was buck or boost converter. I have removed that IC and my laptop is up and running. The only problem now is I am not getting any power supply from those ports now.
I have searched for that IC bu unable to find, here is the IC number 4335F2.
to be exact there were three rows on ic
28206
MM-G1
435F2
I couldn't find this IC on the internet. Help me to find the replacement for this IC to get my laptop fully functional again.
Regards
Mayur.
