HP Pavilion Gaming Laptop 15-cx0xxx
Microsoft Windows 11

Hi, I have a HP Pavilion Gaming Laptop 15-cx0xxx core i7 8th gen, GPU Nvidia gtx 1050ti, 16gb ram with 512gb ssd, the operating system is windows 11. I’ve been using the system for over a year and 4months. Last month I noticed the battery stops charging itself once it reaches 81%, still it indicates plugged in and charging, even the charging indicator on the right side of the system glows showing the yellow light(means charging), but then it drops rapidly until I power it off and charge before it charges. So I’ve been using it that way. Not until 2 weeks ago it refused to charge even with that same method and the battery dropped till 0% and shuts down. Since then it refused to power on, and the charging indicator (white light showing fully charge nor yellow light showing charging) won’t light up either. But I notice last week when I borrowed a battery, I inserted it to my PC, and it came up, the yellow charging indicator light also light up when plugged in. But the battery still drops while plugged in until 10% which I had to remove it before it dies out again. I’ve tried out different chargers also but still the same thing. So I know the problem isn’t from the charger. I want to find out, is it that when no presence of battery in the pavilion gaming 15, it can’t power on even with charger? Or there’s an hardware problem on the board. Please I’ll be grateful if I can get a response. Thanks👍🏽
