Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I just got this new laptop today from noel lemmings. (https://www.noelleeming.co.nz/shop/prod182263.html?&nst=SEM&gclid=EAIaIQobChMIy_6YyfvS5gIV1zMrCh3o3g...) From the start it felt very sluggish but i ignored it assuming it's just because it was new and it would be gone in an hour or two of use. But as i started to use the computer and installed a few things (mine craft, steam, chrome) and tried running mine craft i saw there was an issue. the cpu usage seems abnormally high while doing small things such as watching you-tube and it is super sluggish for a brand new laptop on the first day. I have run a full virus scan using McAfee and a quick scan with windows defender which have both come up with nothing and i am getting quite worried about this laptop. The specs seem as if they should be able to handle watching you tube or playing a simple game such as mine craft without too many problems, it does not. I have a warranted and just got it today so i am not sure if this is normal, if i can do something myself, or that i need to go and return this laptop to have it refunded or fixed.

Some software troubleshooting is needed.  When you press Alt control Delete at same time and bring up task manager, you can see under performance which program is running and causing the CPU usage to be very high. Also go into Strt up programs and disable some of the start up programs, but you would have to list them if your not sure what to disable. Also Mcafee can lag the computer making it slow a bit, I would concentrate on the programs using the high cpu usage first. Try and reply to this message with your findings and if all fails then Hp suggestion on contacting tech support. Be prepared to be on the phone for hours cause I use to be one of them helping customers.
