HP ENVY - 13-aq0011ms

Hello,

After two years (out of warranty) of only moderate use, the right hinge of my HP Envy is coming apart, making the laptop unusable.  I went to HP's local authorized service center (uBreakiFix), they looked up my serial and said the part wasn't available to order and told me to call HP.  Calling HP and selecting problems with a product that I own tells me to go to support website and hangs up.  Going to support website gives no email or phone # for repair, just gives options of virtual agent (tried - useless), buying over-the-phone tech support (this is a hardware issue), finding my local authorized HP repair center (the same one that told me to call HP in the first place), or going to this forum.  Can anyone help me?  I don't mind paying for the repair, I just don't want to have a $700 paper weight two years after buying it. Thanks.

What is the deal with all of these hinge issues I see all over the place on the HP forum? Isn't anyone starting a class-action suit?!?! This is absurd! Hinges should be the LAST thing you should have to worry about. I'm sorry to hear about your issue, but I would contact the Attorney General in your state if I were you.

I want to thank you for taking the time to speak to us today.

I have brought your issue to the attention of an appropriate team within HP. They will likely request information from you in order to look up your case details or product serial number. Please look for a private message from an identified HP contact. Additionally, keep in mind not to publicly post personal information (serial numbers and case details).
